Staff & students celebrate MLK Day of Caring

Lots of Ellsworth Community College faculty, staff members and students took part in five different volunteer opportunities in celebration of the MLK Day of Caring on Monday, Jan. 18.
The projects, organized by Maurie Tomke, ECC Coordinator of Student Engagement, included setting up for Iowa Falls Winterfest at the Boat Club (cancelled due to extreme cold temperatures), cleaning and organizing storage rooms and painting at Dale Howard Family Activity Center, cleaning and working with students at Rock Run Elementary, cleaning and organizing at Alden Elementary, cleaning and organizing at Lighthouse Center of Hope, sanding/cleaning/painting arena fences at the Ellsworth Equestrian Center, and cleaning in the ECC weight room.
