Two GREEN Thumbs Up for Earth Day!

A small but dedicated group of ECC faculty and students traveled to Alden on Friday, April 22, to clean up at the picturesque Alden Portage area along the Iowa River. They picked up sticks and limbs, raked up debris, collected brush piles from around town, laid mulch, and more. The activity was sponsored by the ECC Diversity Committee led by faculty members Anne Sherve-Ose, Michael Rottink and Rebecca Peterson. Sherve-Ose has typically taken the group to the Calkins Nature Center for Earth Day, but this year felt a “change of scenery” was in order.
