IOWA FALLS – Ellsworth Community College students, staff, family members and the local community will celebrate Homecoming/Family Day the week of Oct. 3-8 in Iowa Falls. The celebration culminates on Saturday, Oct. 8, with activities for students and their families followed by the ECC Panthers’ home football game against Independence Community College at 1 pm on Cadet Field in Iowa Falls.

Throughout the week, students will celebrate Homecoming with an intramural football championship game on Monday, Nerdology Trivia Night on Tuesday, a comedian performance on Wednesday, a dodgeball tournament on Thursday, and a talent show and Homecoming king and queen coronation on Friday.

On Saturday, students and their families are invited to enjoy rides on the Scenic City Empress at 9 and 11 am, the Student Store will be open from 11 am to 12:30 pm, and there will be a free lunch for students and their families in the Gentle Center cafeteria from 11:30 to 12:30.

“Ellsworth has a long and rich tradition of helping students develop inside and outside the classroom,” says ECC Provost Dr. Martin Reimer. “We cannot do it alone and we would like to thank the families, alumni, and other benefactors for supporting our students. It means so much to them to know you are behind them as they work hard to reach their educational and career goals. We invite all of our students, staff, families and the community to take this time to celebrate that history with us during Homecoming week.”
